Walking the Labyrinth - A Spiritual Journey
A labyrinth is a spiritual tool meant to awaken us to the deep rhythm that unites us to ourselves and to the Light that calls from within. In surrendering to the winding path, the soul finds healing and wholeness. – Rev. Dr. Lauren Artress
There are three movements to the labyrinth. Moving inward is a time to cast off, discard, unwrap, and forget. Centering – while pausing at the center of the labyrinth – is a time to be open, expectant, empty, naked and receptive. Moving outward is a time to gain direction, satisfaction, comfort and new energy.
Members and clergy of St. Catherine’s and St. John’s Port Moody participated in a labyrinth walk at Pioneer Memorial Park, Port Moody, on July 15. Another labyrinth walk will be held at the same location on August 19.

Scrapbooking Fights Cancer
A scrapbooking workshop held February 11 has raised over $940 for the Relay for Life. The event featured make-and-take crafts, displays and sales of scrapbooking and craft supplies, fellowship and opportunities to exchange ideas. The full day of activities also included door prizes and a potluck lunch. Congratulations and thanks to Jane Hird-Rutter, captain of the St. Catherine's Relay for Life Team, who organized the workshop.
